Principle and Features:
During the hot dip galvanizing process, the iron content in the zinc liquid continues to increase due to the corrosion of the iron zinc pot by the zinc liquid and the introduction of iron into the zinc liquid from the flux. When the temperature of the zinc liquid is 450°C, the solubility of iron in the zinc liquid is about 0.035. The excess iron and zinc form an iron-zinc alloy (zinc dross) that is insoluble in the zinc liquid and floats in the zinc liquid. When skimming the dross, only the dross at the bottom can be removed, and the iron suspended in the molten zinc cannot be removed. The higher the iron content in the molten zinc, the more zinc is treated and the higher the viscosity of the zinc. The liquid will increase and the liquidity will be poor. As the coating becomes thicker, the iron-zinc alloy will adhere to the surface of the workpiece and form particles, affecting the surface quality of the galvanized coating.
To deal with quality defects such as high iron content in zinc liquid, poor fluidity and particles appearing on the surface of galvanized parts. Our company has successfully developed HT701 molten zinc floating slag treatment agent, which can effectively remove suspended impurities in zinc liquid and reduce the iron ion content in zinc liquid. Improve the fluidity of zinc liquid, eliminate quality problems such as bumps on the surface of galvanized parts, make the surface of galvanized products smooth and reduce the workload of grinding galvanized products.
